Lalitpur, Falgun 13, 2081 – The NACCFL Training and Research Center of the Nepal Agriculture Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL) has successfully conducted two batches of training focused on crucial topics such as Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS), goAML, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and e-TDS for its member cooperatives. The training sessions took place on Falgun 7, 8, and 9, as well as Falgun 10, 11, and 12, 2081.

A total of 56 participants from various cooperatives across Nepal attended the training, representing regions from Morang in the east to Bardiya in the west. This diverse group included 37 males and 16 females, highlighting the inclusive nature of the program. The sessions were facilitated by distinguished experts, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all attendees.

The training was inaugurated by Ms. Gita KC, Treasurer of NACCFL, who underscored the importance of capacity-building programs for cooperative members. She emphasized that regulatory compliance, financial transparency, and taxation knowledge are vital for the sustainable growth of agriculture cooperatives.

The training sessions featured experienced professionals, including:

  • Deepak Barakoti, Branch Manager, ADBL Birgunj (Lead Trainer – AML/CFT/goAML)
  • CA Rabin Dhakal (Lead Trainer – NFRS)
  • Sadananda Pandey, Revenue Officer, IRD Chitwan (Lead Trainer – TDS/e-TDS)

Participants expressed their satisfaction with the training, noting its relevance and necessity for their cooperatives. They appreciated the insights and practical knowledge shared by the trainers, which will aid in implementing financial and regulatory frameworks effectively within their organizations.

NACCFL is dedicated to enhancing the capacity of its member cooperatives by providing impactful and need-based training programs. The organization plans to conduct additional training sessions in the future to further strengthen Nepal’s cooperative sector.
