A delegation from Bangladesh visited the Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL) today for a learning exchange on federation and cooperative best practices aimed at strengthening agriculture through the cooperative model.

The delegation was led by Mr. Qazi Nazmus Saadat, Senior Vice President of the Bangladesh National Co-operative Union and Chairman of Cumilla Central Co-operative Bank Ltd. The team included Mr. Mohammed Jamal Hossain (Director), Mr. Md Monirul Islam, Mr. Md Amir Ali (Executive Officer), and Mr. Kazi Nazmul Ahsan (Director) of Cumilla Central Co-operative Bank Ltd.

Welcoming the delegation, NACCFL Chairperson Mr. Khem Bahadur Pathak emphasized that NACCFL is happy to share its experiences and best practices, while also being equally eager to learn from the successful cooperative and banking practices of Bangladesh. He highlighted that continued collaboration and exchange of knowledge can significantly strengthen cooperatives and improve agricultural outcomes in both countries.

The organizational profile of NACCFL was presented by Senior Manager Mr. Deepakar Rupakheti, highlighting federation-level initiatives, services, and impacts, while Program Manager Mr. Prakash Pandey and other NACCFL staff members were also present.

Mr. Pathak further noted that learning visits and experience-sharing programs create an enabling environment for innovation, mutual understanding, and long-term cooperation among cooperatives. The visit reinforced the importance of cross-country cooperation among cooperative institutions to promote sustainable agriculture, financial inclusion, and farmer empowerment.
