At Nepal Agriculture Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL), we believe that empowering small farmers goes beyond increasing agricultural production- it means creating sustainable market opportunities and connecting farmers directly with consumers.
18 July 2026, the Small Farmers Mini Agro Expo 2026, held at Bhanimandal Club, Lalitpur, marked an important milestone in this journey.
As NACCFL's first initiative of its kind, the expo successfully demonstrated how cooperatives can bridge the gap between rural producers and urban consumers while strengthening local agricultural value chains. The event brought together 14 Small Farmers Agriculture Cooperatives (SFACLs), District Agriculture Cooperative Federations, and "Kisan Ko Poko" outlets representing Kavrepalanchok, Ramechhap, Sindhupalchok, Lalitpur, Dhading, Nuwakot, Makwanpur, and Dolakha. Visitors had the opportunity to explore and purchase fresh, locally produced, and high-quality agricultural products directly from the farmers who grew them.
More than just an exhibition, this initiative reflects NACCFL's vision of building a sustainable, inclusive, and market-oriented agricultural ecosystem by:
Strengthening market access for small farmers through the cooperative network.
Promoting locally produced, safe, and quality agricultural products.
Creating direct farm-to-consumer linkages that ensure fair returns for farmers and greater confidence for consumers.
Supporting resilient and sustainable food systems in Nepal.

This is just the beginning. NACCFL remains committed to scaling up similar initiatives across Nepal, enabling small farmers to access better markets, increasing the visibility of local agricultural products, and fostering stronger connections between rural producers and urban consumers.
